Rimmel Scandal eyes Mascara

Rimmel London Scanal Eyes Mascara rrp £6.99
available at Boots and Superdrug

I picked this up as part of Superdrug's 3 for 2 offer on all cosmetics, I don't usually buy make up from any of the brands sold in chemists, however I have yet to find a higher end mascara worth the extra pennies so for now its one product I don't mind being cheap and cheerful.
I didn't need a mascara at the time but for some reason the bright, tacky packaging lured me in! The brush is a traditional mascara wand (no plastic bristles thanks!) and is super large, for super large lashes? we'd hope.
Rimmels says its a breakthrough mascara! (whatever that is) It is suppose to give you serious volume without clumping basically, hurrah!
I wasn't expecting much from this mascara to be honest and I really hate it when products make ridiculous claims, but the more I use this, the more I like it.
I wouldn't call this a "breakthrough" in mascara,  but it does give some decent volume whilst avoiding clumps, especially when compared to my oldest fav, Boujoirs volume clubbin'.  Its a good everyday mascara for those who like volume and definition and for the price you can't really grumble.
The best quality of this mascara I think, is the way it really opens up your eyes, I don't think I've ever looked so awake! and for this, despite your wild claims and ridiculous packaging, I really like you Rimmel Scandal eyes.

p.s for extra lol'z go watch the t.v advert for this, ridiculous!

Feel Unique Beauty Box: November contents and review

Originally a GlossyBox subscriber, I decided to switch to the Feelunique.com Beauty box subscription after seeing a few posts on various blogs about last months box, and Im so glad I did......

The box itself is slightly smaller in size, which I actually prefer as it makes the box look more "full", I love the sleek matte black texture and the box mechanism which opens like a drawer rather than a lid. The empty box would be perfect as make up or jewellery storage.

Contents:
Emma Hardie Amazing face cleansing balm and cloth      Schwarzkoph OSIS+ dust it  hair powder     Xen-Tan Deep bronze luxe faux tan      Goldwell Duelsenses Rich repair hair treatment    Bella Pierre multitasking shimmer powder      Prada Candy purfume sample

I am really excited to try the Xen-Tan as I've heard so much about it, I can see me using the 10% off code included in the box to purchase a full size! I already own the OSIS dust it, however I am glad of a replacement as mine has almost ran out, and that would have cost me the best part of £10! This box has already paid for itself!
I am also intrigued by the Bella Pierre shimmer powder, the description says you can use it as an eyeshadow, add to eyeliner, lipgloss, blusher or use as a highlight, interesting!

Overall I think the Feelunique beauty box is the one for me, I originally decided to switch from Glossybox as I felt whilst the samples from Glossybox were lovely, they were way out of my price range. I had never heard of the brands, nor could I ever justify spending that amount of money on the full size products. When I read about the Feelunique box I could tell it would be more tailored to my taste and price range, and this box really lived up to my expectations! It contains brands I know and trust as well as a couple of new ones who's price ranges and availability are not unachievable.
Whats more you get 10% off all of the brands featured in your box, and are obviously all available on feelunique.com, with free delivery!
A monthly subscription will cost you £9.95, Free Royal Mail delivery (hurrah)
This is one thing I will not be unsubscribing from anytime soon!

MAC Melba Blush

MAC powder blush in "Melba" £17

Because of not owning (and therefore needing) a peach toned blush, I felt I was missing out! I always grab my topshop "neon rose" cream blush in the morning, but since it's winter and my skin is getting paler I wanted something a little more subtle and "peach".
In the pan I found this blush a little pink on the pink side,  but when applied MAC Melba is the perfect true peach, not too pinky or bright like some peach blushes can be, it leaves a lovely flush of colour to the cheeks.
Not being one for shiny cheeks, I primarily went for Melba because it's a matte finish (my favourite), I find the MAC matte finish blushes are true to colour, sheer enough but easily build-able for the intensity you want, without any of that dreaded shimmer which I find just too much for winter mornings.
I also think this would look great with a tan!
